Department overview

In order to get the job targeted by the Department of Animal Management, you need a wealth of knowledge and technical skills regarding animals. In addition, in order to utilize that ability, it is essential to have compassionate communication skills from the standpoint of the other party in order to build a relationship of trust with the pet owner.
In this department, you will learn basic knowledge about animal breeding methods, health management checkpoints, diseases, etc., and develop practical skills as an animal manager who can notice illnesses at an early stage and give advice to pet owners.

 

 

 

 

What do you learn?

You will learn basic knowledge such as breeding methods for each type of animal, checkpoints for health management, and diseases. By doing so, you will be able to notice the animal’s disease at an early stage and give advice to the owner.

In addition, in actual sites such as pet shops, customer service and inventory management are also important tasks, so you will thoroughly learn general business etiquette and computer operation.

Graduated students are active in many occupations in the animal industry, ranging from pet shops and animal hospital trimmers, zoos, aquariums, ranch and other zookeepers, animal training center trainers, and animal welfare centers.

Some of the seniors who have graduated from the animal management department are training as breeders and aiming to open their own businesses. There are also seniors who are pursuing their dreams and working hard in Australia.
