Animals of Kyushu Animal Academy

At Kyushu Animal Academy, there are many animals belonging to the school. Students learn many things such as the fun of collaborating with friends, love for animals, and the preciousness of life by deciding and caring for these many animals.

School animals are students’ friends, companions, and families.

Features of Kyudo School Animal

①Existence of animals with a handicap

Some Kyudo School animals have a handicap. We have various cases such as being unable to defecate and urinate on my own due to paralysis of the lower body. Every school animal has a student in charge. Students come to school early in the morning to encourage defecation and urination due to pressure, and when they are sick, observe the progress and report to the veterinarian at the Ryunosuke Animal Hospital, which is located next to the school, for instructions. We also perform various inspections as needed. After seeing the result, the nursing policy is decided in consultation with the veterinarian, and the student in charge actually performs nursing and medication.

②About the end of aged animals

At Kyushu Zoological Academy, the basics are lifelong breeding of school animals. Every year, several school animals die and cross the Rainbow Bridge. With the death of the school animal, the student in charge learns grief (pain) and care (coping) in practice in sadness. Learn from your own experience (pain) how to deal with the owner when you go to the scene. Getting a job as an animal requires the determination and responsibility to face life. At Kyushu Animal Academy, we will learn this well during our two to three years of school life. After 49 days, the bones of the school animal will be delivered to the grave of the Kyushu Animal Academy by the person in charge.
