Kyushu Animal Academy Introduction of Animal hoarding cats

On December 18, 2020, the Kumamoto Prefectural Animal Protection Center undertook 36 “Animal hoarding cats” at the Kyushu Animal Institute. Actually, in November 2020, we held a presentation tournament for first graders on the theme of “disaster animals” (the top 5 teams were announced at the open campus), but one-third of all 18 teams chose as theme “Animal hoarding” What I saw in the announcement. It is the student’s idea that “Animal hoarding” is a disaster (man-made disaster caused by humans), and animals are victims of man-made disasters. Also, as many teams have chosen, “animal hoarding” is one of the social problems, and there is no doubt that it should be solved. Dr. Tokuda thought, “I want you to see the reality of the collapse of Animal hoarding and learn about the concept and method of Animal hoarding and shelter medicine,” Student thought “We want to save the many animals.” In line with these idea, it was decided to protect 36 “cats that have collapsed in multi-headed breeding” at the school. (Two unfamiliar cats from the site of the Animal hoarding that occurred in another place after that (from Kumamoto City Animal Protection Center), and two kittens that were weak from the site of yet another “Animal hoarding” We keep a total of 4 cats (from the health center) and protected a total of 40 cats. Many students were scratched or bitten because many cats were unfamiliar after the reception. However, there is Kyudo students! They want everyone to get used to humans and make your life with humans fun! They continued to pour them love as an “animal professional egg”. As a result, cats that were initially aggressive or frightened with a stubborn attitude without trusting humans gradually became more open to students. Humans are still scared, but they gradually realize that the treats they receive are delicious, they like being stroked, and they like hugs. More and more cats are opening their hearts to humans. Therefore, the next step of “Operation to rescue Animal hoarding”. Under the leadership of Vice-Principal Professor Takagi, we planned a transfer meeting to open up a second life for cats. Kyudo’s first protected cat transfer event will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 13:00 to 15:00 at the Kyushu Animal Academy (Ryunosuke Animal Hospital, 3rd and 4th floors) with a complete reservation.
